Axon Exchange - IEDs integration platform

Axon Exchange is a solution whose main function is to serve as a gateway automation platform which collects data from any IEDs inside a substation. This allows the conversion between multiple communication protocols of telecontrol and facilitates the integration and automation of Substation systems. It concentrates and processes data in real time from connections through serial channels and Ethernet, and then reports it to SCADA systems or Control Centers. It is a highly interoperable system with IEDs of different types and brands, it also enables configurations in redundant mode and has a module which supports PRP (Parallel Redundancy Protocol). In addition, it has access control management mechanisms and implements various cybersecurity topics.

It supports a logic module that allows you to implement special data type conversions and behavior management through functions and scripts. It has a remote visualization tool of the signal status that allows management of the connections and their status. It is flexible and the modular architecture enables a scalable evolution of solutions.

In the Axon Exchange Config window, in the project explorer, when clicking on the project name, the option to enable SOE (Sequence of Events) and the directory on which the file will be created is displayed in the properties window.

IsLocal: Indicates whether it has the local token or is in a remote state.
Level: Access level, the highest priority is represented by the smallest number.
Local/Remote State: Displays the identifier of the person who requested the local token.
Local/Remote Command: Assignment command for Local or remote status.

Templates were created to optimize the creation of devices which have the same signal configuration. Templates allow the creation of mapping (all the signals with their characteristics) to be associated with devices, in this way it is not necessary to create the signals in each communication.

Through the logics in the master, it is possible to receive two single signals and convert them into a double signal that will be reported to the slave or receive a double signal that will be reported as two single signals.

After locating the project name in the Axon Exchange Viewer explorer, the information associated with the connected license is displayed on the properties panel.
